White Iron — local compute experts, not big cloud fans
Cloud, network, and on-site infrastructure for small businesses across Wyoming. Owned, not rented.
What we believe
The cloud got too big to care about you.
Big Cloud built a great product for hyperscale companies. Then it spent fifteen years convincing everyone else they should run their business the same way. The result is small businesses paying enterprise prices for infrastructure they can't see, can't audit, and can't reach a human about when something breaks.
We think that's a bad deal. We think most small businesses are better served by computers in their building, networks they understand, and a vendor who returns calls. Sometimes the right answer is cloud — we'll tell you when. Most of the time, the right answer is iron.
Local compute experts. Not Big Cloud fans.

The HIPAA Security Rule changed.
Wyoming practices have ~240 days.
The first major update since 2003 is finalizing in May 2026. Encryption goes from "addressable" to mandatory. MFA on every system. 72-hour breach reporting. Annual pen tests. No small-practice exemption.
We've spent twenty years on medical security work — solo practices through hospital networks. The 30-minute gap assessment is free, no obligation. You'll know exactly where you sit before the deadline gets closer.

How we work
Four things we'll always do.
-
Tell you the truth about your setup.
Including the parts that aren't broken. A clean assessment that says "you're fine, don't pay us for this" is worth more than a remediation engagement that wasn't needed.
-
Quote you fixed prices when we can.
Hourly billing is for genuinely unknown scope. Most of what we do has a knowable cost; we'll tell you what it is before we start, in writing.
-
Document everything we touch.
You should be able to fire us tomorrow and hand the binder to anyone else. Real diagrams, real runbooks, real passwords stored where you can find them.
-
Pick up the phone.
Our number is on the website and we answer it. If you can't reach a human at your current vendor, that's a reason to talk to us.
Talk to us.
First conversation is free, by phone or email. Bring a problem, a question, or just curiosity about what we'd do differently. No pitch deck.
